Radiation Shielding Product Conditions

All calculations for lead shielding requirements should be determined by a qualified health radiation physicist or other radiation "expert" as defined by NCRP or ICRP, and currently recognized by the state/providence/region/area in which the project occurs.
Customer or end user should have all radiation shielding projects completely tested and surveyed by their original project radiation physicist of record, who must be a qualified radiation health physicist or other radiation "expert" as defined by either NCRP or ICRP, after installation and prior to occupancy and use.

Lead backed drywall must always be kept out of the sun and stored in a cool dry place.

Lead backed drywall panels are very heavy and must be secured and stocked flat on a level ground surface on a minimum of 4 or more evenly spaced sleuters or other blocking. Never lean the panels against a wall or vertical surface because they may fall and cause damage or injury.
